Variety characteristics：
Trees are female， morphologically same as Populus euramaricana and close to Populus deltoids. The crown is long oval with a moderate width， and the bark is red brown. In Liaoning province， 6-year old trees of Poplar ‘Bofeng1’ were 17.90 m in height on average， 25.5 cm in DHB and 0.3487 m
3 in volume. One-year old Poplar ‘Bofeng1’ was 0.3235 g/cm
3 in basic wood density， 738 μm and 26.95 μm respectively in fiber length and width reach， 17.94° in microfibrillar angle， 46.21% in cellulose content， 81.34% in holocellulose， 25.97% in lignin content. It can be used for raw materials production for pulping， fiber board， particle board， plywood and other wood for industrial uses.
Key silvicultural techniques：
In Jinzhou， Liaoning Province one year old stumps are mainly used for autumn planting， one year old trees are used for spring planting in other places. Appropriate pruning may be conducted 3 years after planting. The site selected for planting should be flat， with moderate soil fertility and more than 80 cm in soil depth. Topdressing in second year after planting， with N， P， K at a ratio of 3：1：1 （Urea： Calcium superphosphate： Potassium chloride）. The dosage of nitrogen is usually 50-200 g/tree. Stocking density of plantation is usually 500-1100 trees/ha according to the site condition and rotation period.

Variety characteristics：
Straight stem and well developed root system， female. Average height of 9 year old trees was 15.58 m， average DHB was 17.92 cm， and average volume of individual tree was 0.1614 m
3， respectively 13.7%， 33.9%， 74.38% higher than those of the example variety （Populus simonii x nigra）. The vertical roots of seven year old trees penetrate 80 cm into the sediment layer under the 1 m deep sand layer. The root system can reach a maximum depth of 270 cm. It can be used for shelterbelt forests around farmland and sand-fixation forests.
Key silvicultural techniques：
Planting pits prepared with a depth of 30-80 cm， stacking density of 825 trees/ha； or ditches prepared with a depth of 40 cm， a top width of 80 cm， and a bottom width of 30 cm， then planting pits prepared at diameter by depth of 30×30 cm； Suitable for forestation in sand land with no limit by terrain， planting hole 5-7 cm in diameter and 160 cm in depth， using young trees with a DHB larger than 1.2 cm.

Variety characteristics：
Straight stem， symmetrical crown. In Lushuihe of Jilin Province， 10 year old trees were 1.08 m in height and 3.49 cm in DBH on average. The genetic gain in height for 21 year old trees was 16.6%. The seed viability was 80.2% with a maximum weight of 1000 seeds of 520 g. Trees survives at -40℃. It is good for timber production and the timber is good for processing.
Key silvicultural techniques：
The forestation site selected at upper sunny or partially sunny mountain slopes， ranging from 5°to 15°， with well drained soil. Planting site prepared in autumn by digging pits of 50-60 cm in diameter， and planting spacing of 1.5 m × 1.5 m. Trees planted late April. Tending of young trees is for five years， respectively with a yearly tending frequency of 2， 2， 1， 1， 1. Variety characteristics：
Straight stem， small crown. Average height of 7-year old trees reaches 2.6 m in Dailing of HeiLongjiang with a genetic gain of 8.5%， and average DHB 2.31 cm with a genetic gain of 5.4%. Seed yield of individual trees at 6-year old was 1.32 Kg， with a weight of 1000 seeds of 61.9 g and a germination rate of 81.5%. It can be used for production of construction timber， railway crosstie and interior decoration.
Key silvicultural techniques：
Trees planted in mid and late April， with about 20 days of post-planting adaptation. Suitable for planting in mixture with Larch trees， mostly in mixed straps. Site prepared with pits in size of 60 cm × 60 cm. Roots deeply buried and refilled soil compacted to make close contact with the roots and avoid root twisting. Timely soil care around the trees after planting. Tending of young trees is for five years， respectively with a yearly tending frequency of 2， 2， 1， 1， 1. Cares should be taken while strengthening tending.

Key silvicultural techniques：
Site prepared by digging pits in size of 40 × 40 × 30 cm. Three year （2＋1） old trees in size of over 14 cm in height and over 0.7cm in ground diameter are used for planting at a spacing of 2 × 2 m. Trees planted in spring， the roots of trees were dipped with water retention agent prior to planting. Tending continued for successive 2-3 years after planting， mixed planting with other species encouraged.

Site prepared by digging pits in size of 40 × 40 × 30 cm. Two year （1＋1） old trees in size of over 20 cm in height and over 0.6 cm in ground diameter are used for planting at a spacing of 2 × 2 m. Variety characteristics：
The flower color is pink purple， corolla with single lobes. Single flowers are 1.5 cm in diameter， and inflorescences are 15-17 cm in length and 6-8 cm in width. The yearly growth of current-year branches is 60-80 cm. Ten year old trees are 1.6-1.8 cm in height and 1.5 × 1.5 m in crown size. The trees do not sprout during winter. The budding period in Beijing region is early and mid March， and flowering on April 20
th （Initial flowering time delayed 7-10 days compared with early flowering varieties）. Single flowers open for 3-4 days， and group flowers for 14-16 days. It can be used as gardening ornamental tree species.
